Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream SPF20 in Light
As I get closer and closer to finishing the Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation, I find myself itching more than ever to buy a new foundation. Originally I told myself I wasn't going to buy another foundation until I had completely used one up, but lately decided I could buy one as long as I didn't have something similar in my small stash.
I only had the following foundations on hand:
Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation in Fawn
Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick in Fawn
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.5 & 4 (I mix both 1:1)
When Burberry became available on Sephora, I saw they had the new BB Cream and really wanted it. And since I didn't already have a BB cream on hand, I finally decided to go for it!

The packaging is straight up Burberry that's simple and sleek with the Burberry check lid. The tube isn't bulky and is very easy to travel with. The pump dispenser is also nice and controllable, to where I can easily pump just a tiny amount or more.
Now, I've never actually had a BB cream in my stash - I've only tried samples here and there. I've tried a couple of the Dr. Jart ones and a few others that I can't remember the names of. The colors were always way off on the samples, so I was never able to give any a full on test. This Burberry one is the first that I've been able to wear out of the house ha ha!
The coverage, as expected is sheer to light. And unfortunately there are only 3 colors - Light, Medium and Dark. For reference, Appu has the Medium shade HERE. I have the shade Light. It's a hair too dark, but once applied it blends into my skin really nicely and I can't tell.
I was a little leery of the coverage, but it covers most of my redness and evens out my skin enough that I can spot conceal areas where I need extra coverage - I have a deluxe sample of the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer in Sand that I've been using with the Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream and so far I'm really loving the combo!
The consistency of the Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream is like a lightweight cream. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin, but it blends in and melts into my complexion like a moisturizer instead of a regular foundation. I can apply this straight from the tube with my fingers - I don't need to follow up with a brush at all because there are no streaks. Big plus in my book!!
This is described as having a dewy glow, but I find the finish to instead be very natural. I can up the luminosity if I mix it with (or apply on top of) the Becca Backlight Priming Filter.
What I really love about this Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream is that it looks so natural!! I've even worn it by itself (ok, + the BB serum concealer) a few times to go run errands and I've been perfectly happy with how my skin looked - didn't even feel like I needed any color products!!
Above are some comparison swatches for color. You can see it's a pretty close match with what I already had - I'm just glad it wasn't too pink! So if you are more cool or neutral, I'm not sure how it will work? If you are cool or neutral and have tried this, could you please chime in? On the left are sunlight swatches, on the right are indoor swatches. On the right it's easier to see the undertones, and you can also see it's a tad darker.
Overall, I'm really happy with this addition!! Especially with the limited colors, I'm glad one worked :-)
