After not being entirely impressed with the Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer, I was excited to see this BECCA Backlight Priming Filter pop up.

I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).
I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

Claire @ From the Land of Lorp tagged me several months back to do the Addicted to Blush tag!
It's funny because I don't really consider myself a blush addict, even though it's the one thing that always perks my face up! Blush lover...yes, that's what I prefer ha ha!! Lately I've been pretty fickle with colors and finishes - I'll use something for a bit and then suddenly it starts looking all wrong. So weird!
I've been in slightly less of a lipstick mood, and have wanted to venture into glosses again. I used to have a lot more, but my gloss stash is so tiny that I feel as though there are only a few that I end up wearing over and over: Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil, Burberry Lip Glow in Trench Kiss (from last Holiday?) and the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Seduction. When these new Burberry formulas became available on Sephora, I went ahead and placed an order.
I'll tell you up front I absolutely love this shadow! The color is gorgeous, it's pigmented, but not so much that it's tough to blend out...quite the contrary it blends out and with other colors beautifully. I thought the shimmer might be too much at first, but I don't find it over the top - kinda perfect in giving the right amount of oomph.
I've always struggled to find a good nude lipstick. You know...one that doesn't make me look dead, yet doesn't give me Barbie lips. Every now and again, I'll see one that looks interesting, and inevitably not like it and give up hope - deciding instead I'm better off just wearing lip balm! Enter the Charlotte Tilbury 'The Perfect Nude Kiss' Set...
Mini review time! Here are a few hair and nail things I've been trying out...
I have mixed feelings about both of these products. Neither is a complete love, nor a complete dislike...
Bronzer Bunny told me I should try the African Botanics Marula Intense Skin Repair Balm several times last year, especially noting how much it helped with her scars. I finally got around to trying it, and can't believe I waited so long because I love it!
Hi, guys! Last night I watched THIS (start at 10:40) haul video from Tarababyz, where she talks about Tom Ford Fall 2015. She didn't have the whole collection, but did get the Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Moonlight and the Illuminating Powder in Translucent Pink. After hearing her description of the powder I knew it was something I really wanted to check out, as I have been eyeing the original color for quite some time!
My latest 2 SPF fails have been the Bioderma Photoderm Max SPF50+ Milk, and the Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF50+. The Bioderma Milk's finish was too shiny and tacky - even under foundation and powdered it looked much too dewy for my taste. If I added another layer of powder things started to look un-skin like. I tried it without moisturizer and the finish was better, but it still was a little too tacky to work well under makeup and dry parts didn't feel moisturized enough.
The Kiehl's was even worse, finish was too shiny and it didn't feel like it sank into my skin at all. I tried it without moisturizer underneath, but then my skin felt dry and the shiny finish was still there. I'll keep the Bioderma Milk to use on my body, but the Kiehl's is already in the purge pile.

Hi, everyone!! Feeling the need to take a break from the blog. I'll be around social media a bit here & there, but for the most part I'm going to step away from that as well. I'll be back!!! But for now I want to clear up some headspace & enjoy other things :-)
On Instagram, I posted the picture above of the new RMS brushes. The swirly one on the left is the RMS Skin2Skin Foundation Brush $38, and the one on the right is the RMS Skin2Skin Cheek Brush $34 (made to be used with their Lip2Cheek pots).
Thought I'd start doing a monthly recap to let you know what's been going on in beauty and general life! Not sure if I'll get to it every month, but thought May was a good time to start since there were some products I tried that won't get their own proper review post (or it won't come for a bit) and I wanted to mention them somewhere.
Bronzer Bunny told me about Skin Inc a long time ago, and it's been on my wish list ever since. Skin Inc's premise is that everybody's skin is different, and as such you should have your own personalized serum...who wouldn't want that!
I've been on a purging rampage the past couple of weeks - nail polish, makeup, skincare, body care, samples...nothing is safe! Seriously, it's been an overwhelming need to purge and it came on quite urgently and quickly!! So what's going on???
Aaaaaaah Viseart...
This was OOS on Sephora forever, and when it finally came back in stock I made the purchase even though it was right before the last sale (I was afraid it'd be gone again before I could get it on sale!). Lemme say...I'm very happy with this new palette!!
