Empties post!
***Formally the Gummy Vision blog***
I'm a lady in her 40's who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).
I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

Empties post!
I'm not that educated when it comes to brushes, but one thing I have learned over the past couple of years is that brushes absolutely do make a difference! They can help your shadow blend more seamlessly, some hairs are better for certain types of products (creams vs. powder for example)...but a lot of it boils down to personal preference - much like most things in the beauty world!
I love the idea of the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops - add it to any of your existing products to make a foundation or tinted product...best part...you get to decide on the coverage!
Over the past few months, various blog posts of different subject matter have inspired me to do this:
I've been wearing the Clinique Cheek Pops for about the past month! I've been rotating colors and also layering them on top of Burberry Earthy (geez forgot how much I love this one!!) or Burberry Misty blushes. Bottom line: I LOVE these things!!!
The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque had been on my list forEVER...one of those items that I always forgot about but then I'd see a video or post with it and say AH, why don't I have that yet??!!! That all changed during the Birthday Month!
This has nothing to do with the Reader Collaboration, but I can't pass up an opportunity to share this funny...it's not new, but I only recently saw it!
You know how you keep keep trying different versions of the same product, hoping one brand or iteration might be the one you'll love??!! For some reason, I'm slightly obsessed with finding a konjac sponge I'll love and I keep trying different ones thinking one will stick. Ok, maybe it's just me?!! Ha ha! Anyway...here we have it...the latest round of konjac sponge testing...this time with the Boscia Konjac Cleansing CLOTH. Yep...a cloth!! See how it reeled me in?!
I had good intentions to not buy much for April, but then the Sephora sale hit...and a few other random 'needs' popped up!
First tried this as a deluxe sample and WOW WOW is all I can say!! After the 3rd try, I ran to purchase the full size so I wouldn't be without it.
Thought I would start showing you my Empties in a slightly different order...the first picture is of products not mentioned on the blog before.
Some beauty pet peeves are unforgivable...like this...
It's been awhile since my last Return to Sender post, which I guess means I've been loving a lot of product and sometimes not bought much!! Here are the items that have missed the mark, and are getting returned...
I was quite taken aback at the news that Burberry reformulated their shadows. WHY???? No, really...W H Y??? Makes no sense, but goes along with the haphazard nature of the Burberry line since they decided to take everything in house - ahem, referring to the untimeliness of their releases, lack of breadth in new products and general disappointment with say, the terrible cheek tints from last Summer. Or was it Spring??
Strawberries. Strawberry jam. If you like those things then you should try this cleanser because it smells like the freshest strawberry jam!! It's not overpowering in any way, but definitely noticeable...even Mr. G said, WOW what is that??!!
You know how you have some things you can't seem to let go of? For me, one of those things is Guerlain Les Fumes. I don't wear it often enough, and have tried to purge it many times...but...I...CAN'T. Something about the colors mesmerize me. And really...swatches don't do it justice. An oldie but goodie that's still available...
I wanted to try this for awhile and finally was able to score a sample with a Sephora order. Best way I can describe this: a thick, cleansing balm jelly. I know...the word jelly threw me off but I finally understood once I squeezed it out of the sample packet. I was instantly hooked and waited forever for it to come back in stock. Finally resorted to tracking it down in a store because it was taking too long ha ha!
Yep. It happened!!
These days, I don't think 40 is really that old. 100 years ago it was ancient and I would probably have grandkids by now! But it's not 100 years ago. And I don't have grandkids. I don't even have kids!
