I'm almost done with my second tube of this!! I decided to try it after it seemed as though every lotion/cream/serum I tried was clogging my pores and breaking me out. With such a high percent of Avene Thermal Spring Water, I was hoping it would help soothe my skin so I could start from scratch to figure out what ingredients were contributing to clogs.
Avene's Cream for Intolerant Skin really is lightweight, verging more into lotion territory. I'm guessing this is because it's high water content? It spreads very easily and soaks in quickly.
On my oily nose and chin I lightly pat in what's leftover from my fingers after applying it to the rest of my face and neck/chest.
My forehead and cheeks vary from dry to super dry, so I do apply this product twice to those areas. Even then I can still feel some very slight dryness, but it's not surface dryness where you can see flakes. It doesn't look dry either. It's that deep down slight itchy dryness I only feel ocassionally. If you are very dry all over then this may not work for you unless you layer with a serum or some kind of soothing spray. I'm actually trying to find something myself that I can layer with the cream in my dry areas.
Thankfully I haven't experienced any clogs with this product, and it does help to calm my skin and keep it soft. I really like that it's not in a jar, too!
Oh, for some reason I seem to go through this pretty quickly. With day and night use the 1.35oz tube doesn't even last me two months. In it's defense though, I do use it on my neck and chest and use at least 2 layers on my dry areas...so I probably use more product per application than the average person.
I'm very happy that Avene's Cream for Intolerant Skin is exactly what I was hoping for!! This is a great, simple foundation product - something I can keep coming back to when my skin acts up. But I'm paranoid right now about my pores clogging, so for now this cream has a permanent home in my routine :-)
